Residential Solar Hot Water Heaters
Residential Solar Installations get a Grant of 50% or more in Québec
Girafe Energies is proud to participate in this important initiative
from the Agence en efficacité
énergétique du Québec, with support from Natural
Resources Canada. This pilot project1 is intended to
encourage the installation of 600 solar hot water heaters in Québec,
and
thus to spark the installation of a large number of solar systems and
to help reduce the
province's carbon footprint.
Single-family residences and multi-family buildings with three
stories or fewer are being targeted by this initiative. Only equipment
approved by Natural Resources Canada is eligible for this grant. The
Agence is committed to inspecting the installations and monitoring the
amount of energy produced.
Each solar system will provide clean, green energy to replace
between 40-60% of the energy (electric or fossil fuel in origin) that
was used to heat hot water in the home.
As one of the major suppliers of commercial and residential solar
thermal systems in Québec, Girafe Energies has a solid grasp on this
technology and has made a point of obtaining the best equipment on the
market: the most reliable, with the best price-performance ratio, and
needing the least maintenance (almost none).
Follow these six easy steps to get
your own system:
- 1. Select the size of system that best meets your family's needs
- 2. Contact us to speak with a representative
- a) We will help you finalize the details and evaluate any options that might be available to you
- b) We will set up a time to visit your home to ensure that a solar system will work for you
- 3. We will help you complete the simple form used to reserve your AEÉ grant, and we will help you with the process for obtaining the federal grant from Natural Resources Canada
- 4. As soon as you receive the approval to proceed from the Agence, we will set an installation date with you
- 5. Once we have completed the installation, we will fill in the form required to register an installation with the AEÉQ and to have an inspection done. Once our installation has been inspected, the Agence will rapidly send you a check
- 6. We will provide you with all of the information you need to benefit from the income tax credits for renovations from the federal and (possibly) provincial governments
Contact us by email or by phone between 9am and 5pm. Be the first on your block to have low-cost, reliable solar energy!
1 The AEÉQ-NRCan pilot project will last
until October, 2010 or until the 600 systems are
installed, whichever comes first. There is no guarantee that a similar
support program will follow this one.
